Dialogue is an installation composed of two canvases hung side by side, forming a diptych. Each canvas features hand-embroidered elliptical shapes from which long strands of thread emerge, fall, and connect to the neighbouring piece. These connecting threads rest on the floor — or remain suspended, depending on the installation site — tracing a circular formation that completes the work.
The installation explores what connects and circulates between elements. It serves as a metaphor for the continuous influx of data that surrounds us in the digital age — how it integrates into who we are, the systems we inhabit, and the patterns of our thoughts, while remaining both part of and distinct from us.
Threads escape from the canvases, extending outward to form a suspended network — both taut and unruly — that reveals the hidden relationships among the elements. Although each canvas may seem complete on its own, the threads expose their interdependence. Together, they create a three-dimensional structure that links the two works in space, forming a circular, triangular, or arched configuration depending on the exhibition setting.
Ultimately, Dialogue highlights the invisible connections that bind separate entities. The flow between image and structure, individual and system, presence and absence.
