Eli Horn (b. 1986, Canada) is a Canadian visual artist and designer living and working on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. His multidisciplinary practice bridges traditional and digital media, informed by his background in graphic design and computer programming. Through drawing, painting, and generative processes, Horn explores the tensions between surface and depth, as well as the liminal and affective dimensions that exist beyond immediate perception.

He is a founding partner and Creative Director of Memory, a creative studio where art, design, and technology intersect. His work oscillates between figuration and abstraction, examining the relationships between the whole, its parts, and the emergence of that which is “more than.” Working primarily on paper, he brings together digital and analog mark-making in a dialogue that considers the evolving materiality of contemporary image-making.

His recent body of work, The Interrogation Series, investigates the language of artificial intelligence and the aesthetics of generative art. In this series, Horn reverse-engineers text prompts from AI-generated images, reframing them as conceptual artworks that question authorship, creative agency, and the shifting boundaries between text and image in the digital era.
