Zoe Hawk (b. 1982, St. Louis, MI, United States) is an American painter living and working in Columbia, Missouri. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Missouri State University and an MFA in Painting from the University of Iowa.

Her work delves into the complexities of girlhood, examining themes of adolescent anxiety, feminine identity, and belonging. Through scenes of play, ritual, and collective behavior, Hawk creates psychologically charged narratives that blend nostalgia with unease. Drawing inspiration from classic storybook illustration and institutional imagery, her paintings balance innocence and tension, revealing the social structures and expectations that shape female experience.

Hawk’s work has been featured in publications including New American Paintings, ArtMaze Mag, Plastik Magazine, and JOIA Magazine, as well as online platforms such as Hi-Fructose, Booooooom, and Artsy.
