CBC Arts consacre une publication à Where Walls Meet Sky, une exposition d’œuvres in situ réunissant 12 artistes canadiens au sein des ruines de l’église anglicane St. Anne’s à Toronto, où est présentée l’œuvre Building Futures and Other Things de Julia Campisi.

Présentée du 22 août au 13 septembre, l’exposition rassemble des œuvres conçues en dialogue avec l’architecture et l’histoire du lieu, deux ans après l’incendie qui a ravagé l’église. Building Futures and Other Things s’inscrit dans cet environnement singulier, où le travail de Julia Campisi entre en résonance avec les traces d’un édifice marqué par la destruction, la mémoire et la transformation.

À travers cette publication, CBC Arts revient sur cette intervention collective au sein des ruines de St. Anne’s et sur la manière dont les artistes investissent ce lieu en pleine transformation.

CBC Arts has published a feature on Where Walls Meet Sky, a contemporary art exhibition bringing together site-specific works by 12 Canadian artists within the ruins of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Toronto, where Julia Campisi’s Building Futures and Other Things is presented.

On view from August 22 to September 13, the exhibition brings together works created in dialogue with the architecture and history of the site, two years after the church was devastated by fire. Building Futures and Other Things engages with this singular environment, where Campisi’s work resonates with the traces of a building shaped by destruction, memory, and transformation.

Through the feature, CBC Arts explores this collective intervention within the ruins of St. Anne’s and the ways in which the participating artists are engaging with a site in transition.
